How to Stain a Backyard Fence

Why stain a fence?

Over time, wood fences can break down due to weather conditions. In addition to looking good, staining your fence helps seal it and ensures it will last longer.

What should I use?

A stain sprayer is the perfect tool for staining a fence.  It's fast, easy, and an affordable tool to add to your collection!

Do I need to seal it?

Depends on the stain you choose - if you choose a stain + sealer in one, it's a one-step process and you do not need to seal it as well.

Does it go through?

No, if you're using your sprayer properly and pointing it straight at the fence, you should have minimal overspray and it should all stay on your side!
