How to Make a DIY Charcuterie Board

Creating a beautiful meat and cheese platter is a great way to impress at any gathering! Here's a quick tutorial for how to create your own board for your charcuterie creations!

choose your wood

Start by choosing the wood you'll use for your board. 1" or 2" thick boards both work great. A hardwood like walnut or maple is the best option.

draw the shape

Plan out the shape of your board - you can keep it simple with a rectangular board, add a handle, or even create a circular board.

A special note

Sand the board

Thoroughly sand the board, with multiple grits of paper. Start with a minimum of 100-grit, and work your way up to 400-grit for the smoothest board!

Finally, you're ready to add some cutting board oil to your board to make the tone of the wood shine. Swipe up for a great option.
