    1. At Home is great for Christmas decor! 🙂

  2. I LOVE the stocking idea – right now, the Husband and I only get each other stocking gifts; but I like the idea of doing it for the extended family as well!

  3. Love the ideas for traditions. We just finished up our Gingerbread houses last weekend. And I went to At Home for the first time last week, holy cow I am addicted too!

    1. It’s the best, right?!

  4. We also do new holiday pajamas every Christmas Eve :).

  5. Love this time of year and seeing everyone beautiful trees, thanks for sharing yours.

  6. Ahhh, Christmas with little children is just the best! You put so much into the holidays to see their eyes twinkling! Then you have family, food, and all the family traditions we look forward to year after year!! I Love Christmas!

  7. I love Christmas traditions – we do PJs on Christmas Eve, too! I just love getting to spend extra quality time with my little family.

    1. Amen! That’s definitely the best part. 🙂

  8. I wish there was an At Home store in NJ! I love your ornaments and the pretty gift wrap, beautifully done!

  9. Great ideas for traditions. We’ve got a few of our own too. I can’t get enough of those ornaments though! All the heart eyes

    1. Aren’t they the best?!

  10. My favorite holiday tradition is lighting our menorah and putting it next to our Christmas tree. We celebrate both holidays and I love seeing them represented together.

    1. Oh, that’s awesome! I love that tradition!

  11. I love all of your traditions! Your story about the candy that popped out of the ornament was beautiful. I love how traditions are handed down from generations past and we mix and mingle them with our grown up families. Beautiful tree and I need to check out At Home because we need lots of decorations still.

    1. Thanks, Rachel! It’s so fun to hear everyone’s family traditions. 🙂

  12. My favorite holiday tradition is putting up the nativity scene as a family.

    1. Oh that’s a good one! We had one last year but it was a toddler magnet and Jackson played with it so much we lost most of the pieces! We need to get a new one, haha.

  13. We have a ton of Christmas traditions, too! We have a couple of them that we do as a couple, but my faves are the ones we do with my whole extended family. On Christmas Eve, we always go to midnight mass, then go to my grandmother’s house and eat all the tamales we can manage (we make them all ourselves around Thanksgiving). Then my uncle always turns on the news and informs us that Santa is approaching, so we have to go to bed. I love that he still does this even now that most of us are in our late 20s and older!

    1. Oh that sounds like so much fun! So sweet!!!

  14. Love these traditions! We’re just starting to think through traditions for our family, since last year we had a one-month old and were basically in a fog, and we live so far from our extended family. However, we’re big on the sentimental ornament thing! Our tree is FULL of memories and i love picking one or two small things to represent our past year to include. This year there are some handmade ones from the babe and i just love it! Not exactly design-friendly but i don’t care 🙂

    1. Oh it’s so fun to get to start all the new family traditions! I love Christmas trees full of memories! 🙂

  15. Nichole Volbrecht says:

I have never heard of At Home before. I am not sure if my wallet is going to like that I now know though! haha!!!

    1. Oh my gosh, Nichole you will LOVE it! It’s such an inspiring place to go. Can’t recommend it enough!

  16. Love the plaid tree skirt! And your tradition with the stockings is so clever – going to try to implement that one next year!

    1. Thanks, Tam! It’s a really fun one!

  17. I love the tradition of playing dirty santa with my family.

    1. I haven’t heard of Dirty Santa! Is that the same thing as White Elephant?

  18. I love the new ornaments! Ours are from the dollar section at Target from when we first got married 😮. I can’t wait to replace them with ones I actually love!

  19. This At Home place soundsawesome, is it a national store?

    1. Yes! At Home was formerly Garden Ridge. You can check to see if there’s one near you at this link! It’s such an awesome store!

  20. I love putting on Christmas music and decorating the Christmas tree with my family.

    1. Yes!! Christmas music is the best, isn’t it? Jackson is really into it this year which makes it really fun.
