There are no words for how happy I am that it’s Friday – for Corey and I, this is our last day of work before glorious, wonderful spring break. And I NEED it!
For those of you who are early risers and might notice these things, today’s post is coming at you a bit later than usual. That would be because I’ve been sick for two (TWO!) weeks now and I’m just now beginning to come out of my sick fog…and I forgot to write the post last night. Whoops! Luckily, I remembered as soon as I woke up this morning and had a bit of extra time before work, so here we are.
Let’s just get right to the eye candy, shall we?
I love this bench for an outdoor area! So easy to put together, and it looks very cozy, too. Now that the weather is starting to get consistently warmer, I’m starting to dream of an outdoor area to hang out in once again, and I think this would be a great way to make that happen! Of course, we still have a patio that’s about the size of a postage stamp, so it’ll be a while before we can add big furniture like this, but a girl can dream, right?
Um, if you don’t already read this blog, you need to – it’s an organizer’s dream, and this series of posts about her reorganized pantry was heaven for me. The update is so simple but it makes a huge impact and it looks fabulous. Someday my pantry will look like that – I swear it will!
My friend Katie at Ruffles & Truffles posted about their AMAZING DIY stump side table this week and I’m so obsessed with it. I think stump side tables are so incredibly gorgeous, and hers turned out better than most I’ve seen. The tutorial makes it sound very easy (but quite time consuming), and now I want to go hunt down a perfectly-sized stump so I can make one of my own.
Did you know you can use ModPodge to transfer an image onto another surface? Because I did not and my mind is blown! This tutorial from my Creating With the Stars partner, Beckie at Infarrantly Creative is awesome and now I’m desperate to try this out for myself – it looks so cool, and pretty simple! And, um, that frame is made out of paint sticks – seriously!
And with that, I’m off to finish getting ready for work and crossing my fingers to hope I don’t start feeling worse again (it’s very touch and go right now). If I can survive the day, I can do nothing but sleep for the next week if I want to, so that’s something to look forward to, no?
What’s been inspiring you this week?
