Creating With the Stars
Hi! Surprised to see me on a Saturday? Me too…
I was just popping in to let y’all know that I am going to be a part of a super amazing blog contest called Creating With the Stars!
The idea is that there are 12 bloggers who were chosen based on a submitted project, and each of us will be paired with a “blog star” to help mentor us and give us ideas throughout the competition. Who would be considered a blog star? Well, there are lots of amazing women who are helping out for this competition, and you can see ’em all if you go to the contest page, but a few notables include Mandi from Vintage Revivals, Sherry from Young House Love, and my partner, the amazing Becki from Infarrantly Creative!
I’m so honored and excited to be a part of the contest – for those of you who are wondering what got us into the competition, it was our beloved dining room chandelier that we made last summer.
The competition has officially started, and the theme for week one is “Upcycle”. Projects will go live a week from Monday (on March 11th) and voting will be open for 48 hours. Don’t worry, I’ll come back and remind you! I’ve already begun work on this week’s project, and I am pretty pumped about it…it’s going to be awesome!
I’d love for you all to follow along over at East Coast Creative’s blog – you can always click the banner over in my sidebar to see what’s going on with the competition. Go check out the other contestants if you have some time this weekend – they’re all incredibly talented and I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
Happy weekend!
So cool! Congratulations! I am sure you will come up with some awesome stuff.
Congratulations, this is so exciting! Will definitely vote for you!
I’m so happy you guys are competing! But I’m sad it’s going to be a mostly majority vote thing. I hate when projects become popularity-based and not merit-based. I’m going to be rooting for you to win, and will enjoy watching what you guys create! Best of luck.
Thanks so much for your support, Brooke! The projects are supposed to be anonymous, so hopefully the voting will all be fair!
