So, this happened this weekend…

Boo.
We were out and about on Saturday, running a few errands before going to my niece’s birthday party, and after popping into a new thrift store that we had been wanting to check out we got in the car to head to the party and…it wouldn’t start.
We tried everything we could think of (which, really, wasn’t much – we have no idea about how to fix a hybrid engine), but no luck. The car just wasn’t starting. We had to call and have someone come pick it up so they could make it all better. Of course, the problem ended up being one of the very few things not covered by our warranty, so it wasn’t a cheap fix…but we were at least able to get it back last night!
In other news, our air conditioner is still (STILL!) broken from that one time this summer, and the air conditioner in our other car is broken as well.
Yeah, things just keep breaking, and I’m starting to get angry with the whole situation. I’m ready for stuff to just work again, but I don’t know if that’ll be happening anytime soon. We’re supposed to have someone come out to look at our home air conditioning (again) this week, so fingers crossed that it actually works this time.
And my little vent session is over.
What’s going wrong in your life lately?

Such a pain! Sorry you having to deal with all this. Hopefully they can fix the air for good now before the summer heat so you won’t need to deal with it again.

12. February - 9:28 amUgh, car problems are the worst.
I’m also having one of those “nothing is going right” moments, so I sympathize. Hope you guys catch a break real soon!

We were late, but we made it! Corey missed a lot of it while he was dealing with the tow truck, but I made it to most of the party.

Oh no! That seriously bites. I just recently got a new (to me) car because my almost-twenty-year-old baby I’ve had since high school kept doing that… so sad.
I hope you get your car probs fixed!

Ugh – the sad part is this is a new to us car! Hopefully this is it, though!

I feel your pain. So far this year my oven has broken ($400 for the part), my car ($700 fix) and our computer broke! Very angry at 2013. Here’s to a better rest of the year

12. February - 4:06 pmKnock on wood, nothing broken over here. But… I did find a pipe hidden in some cabinetry today that is going to throw a wrench in my upcoming bath reno. So… that’s something.
Fingers crossed you’ve gotten the worst of it out of the way for 2013.

12. February - 9:04 pmThe first year we bought our house we had to replace the air conditioner. The second year we had to replace out water heater. We’re just entering the third year of home ownership, so I guess we’ll see what goes out this year. I’m betting on our dishwasher, but I’d love to make it through the year without replacing anythings. The fun perks of owning stuff, right?
