We had quite a full weekend, so I thought this was a perfect day for a quick recap of what we were up to.
We headed out to my parents’ house on Saturday for a little birthday celebration for my nieces. They both have birthdays right around this time and are getting to the age where it isn’t exactly cool to have your aunt, uncle, and grandparents at your birthday party (though we’re invited to my older nieces party next weekend, and I’m honored!), so we had a little family thing to celebrate them both.
We brought Hadley, and she loved getting to spend some time with the girls, and with my dad – my dad used to raise Dobermans, so she’s definitely his favorite of our dogs.
Oh, and we got to see my parents’ dogs, who I always love hanging out with – even if they’re not too sure what to think about Hadley yet.
On our way home, we stopped by the vet (finally!) to (finally!) pick up Ranger (finally!). We were all very, very excited to have him home, and he was more than excited to be back.
On Sunday, we spent the evening at my sister’s house watching the Super Bowl. We had way too much food, paid more attention to the commercials and the AMAZING half-time show than the game (at least, I did), and just generally enjoyed ourselves.
It was a good weekend but, like most of them are, was way too short. All I know is I’m thrilled to have Ranger back at home, and he seems pretty dang happy to be here. Let’s just hope we can keep him around this time.
What did you do this weekend?
