Is anyone else feeling hungover from the Thanksgiving holiday?
I’m not talking the “I had too much to drink” kind of hungover – I’m talking the “I had a 5-day weekend but I didn’t actually spend any of it relaxing so now I’m even more exhausted than I was before” kind of hungover. ‘Cause that’s how I’m feeling this morning.
We had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving and I really enjoyed the break – but oh my goodness was it a busy one! I don’t have much to share in terms of projects this morning because, um, my weekend was full of nothing but turkey and chocolate pie and Christmas decorations. So, today you get a quick recap of the Thanksgiving craziness and a few sneak peeks of our oh-so-amazing Christmas decor.
We headed up to Dallas on Wednesday morning to visit Corey’s family – it’s where we always spend our Thanksgivings, and it’s always a good time.
We had lots of wine and yummy food…
And enjoyed the beautiful fall(ish) weather.
We were in Dallas until Friday, and then we came home to spend the rest of the weekend at home decking our home out in Christmas awesomeness. As I’ve mentioned once or twice, we had been
just a little insanely excited to bring our Christmas stuff out, and we have been counting down the days until we could do it. And it’s finally here! I’ll be sharing way more photos than anyone really cares to see of our decked-out house later, but for now here are a few glimpses of what our weekend was like.
Mmmm Christmas. Can. Not. Wait.
And that, my friends, is what my Thanksgiving break looked like. Busy, entirely too short, and a ridiculous amount of fun. I can’t say I’m looking forward to heading back to work this morning, but I will say I’m excited to have some normalcy to my schedule (and diet) again!
