I mentioned yesterday that life has been a little crazy for me lately…but that’s no excuse for the state I had let my house get to over this weekend. Typically I clean up before I shoot any photos for the blog since I want you guys to at least think I keep my house clean (I really do…most of the time).

But I thought today might be a good time to come clean and show you how bad Corey and I had let it get. The two major things on our list this weekend?

The laundry…

Those are just Corey’s shirts. We have to wash them separately because we can’t dry them (they shrink and don’t fit him properly), and I hate hanging them up to dry so they don’t get washed nearly as often as they should. But, um, that’s no excuse for how mountainous this pile had gotten!

And Corey’s chore left undone?

Mowing. Our backyard was looking pretty scraggly, but not awful…

But the side yard?

Pretty damn embarrassing.

Luckily, we managed to tackle both of these daunting chores this weekend and are finally feeling a bit more in control. And I no longer have to cringe every time I pull up to my house.
