This weekend, Corey and I headed up to Fayetteville Texas (population: 258 – seriously) for a family reunion.
We got to see quite a bit of family that we hadn’t seen in a very long time, and it was a ton of fun to hang out, chat, and just catch up with everyone.

Plus, I always absolutely love getting to visit this tiny little town. I love browsing the antique shops and walking the town square – it’s so fun to park our car when we arrive and know we don’t have to drive again until it’s time to go home!
We stayed in a tiny little cottage on the edge of town called the “Cow Palace”…

…I wonder why they called it that?

We also got to spend a ton of time at my great-uncle’s house, which is probably one of my favorite houses ever. Charm just oozes out of these older houses, doesn’t it? He has a ton of property with a barn and a few extra buildings – it’s perfect for giant gatherings of people!

All in all it was a fantastic weekend and I’m so glad we got to go. I just wish we would have remembered our camera so I could have some better photos than what I snapped on my iPhone! Oops.
What were you up to this weekend? Does your family have reunions?
