Friday Finds

Ohhhh my goodness – it’s FRIDAY! There are no words for how excited I am – this first week of school was nothing less than insane (I didn’t ever have the same schedule two days in a row!) but I have a feeling that next week things will start to settle down as everyone gets back into the routine.

Let’s just say I’m ready for the weekend.

But first, we have to survive today, and I have some fun inspiration to hopefully help get you through! As I mentioned last week, I’m going to change up the format of Friday Finds a little bit – I’m running low on reader requests, and I feel like it might be getting old to see only Craigslist every week, so I thought that I’d switch it up and share a different type of inspiration every week throughout the month.

So, here’s the plan –

Instead of sharing just Craigslist finds, I’m going to rotate between sharing finds from Craigslists, Pinterest, and my favorite blogs. I don’t plan on having any particular rotation or schedule for it – it’ll just depend on how I’m feeling that week. And, if I think of any other awesome source for inspiration, I may toss that in too! So basically, instead of just sharing awesome inspiration and finds from Craigslist, I’m gonna bring you inspiration from all over the internet in the form of fun blog posts, cheap finds, and cool ideas. Sound like a good time? I thought so, too.

This week I didn’t have time for much relaxing at all, but when I did I found myself gravitating towards Pinterest (as always), so I’m gonna share a few of the best things I found via Pinterest this week!

I absolutely love this idea – she mixes up all of the dry ingredients for various things that she bakes often and keeps them in pretty labeled jars so that when it’s time to bake all she has to do is grab some of the mix and she’s ready to go! She even printed the recipes on the back so that she doesn’t have to go searching for it if she needs to reference it – so simple, yet so genius!

I’m sure we’ve all seen this one a billion times, but it never fails to inspire me (click the link to see details on how she made it). It’s so gorgeous and something I would never have thought to try and make. I’ve been lusting over this guy for a while now, and I think I might finally pull the trigger and make something similar soon – I just need to figure out where I want it!

I loved this article on how to clean baseboards and KEEP them clean. Dusty baseboards are the bane of my existence, so it’s nice to know there may be a solution!

There are about a million things in this photo that inspire me. I love, love, love all of the wood on the walls and ceiling – Corey and I have plans for a similar treatment in a few different parts of our house! I also love the bed (it looks like an old brass bed that has been painted) and the colors in the room! The entire feel of this room is just so breezy and comforting – I want to curl up on the bed and read a book!

I love this table so much – she built it for only $65! Corey and I have been tossing around ideas for a dining table to put in our backyard someday when we make a patio, and this is pretty much exactly what we want! I love the rustic, casual style, and I think it would look fabulous with some colorful chairs and some cute outdoor accessories! I’m definitely going to remember this one when the time comes to get our outdoor table!

I couldn’t resist including this guy because it made me giggle! I love the idea of adding a little whimsy and fun to an otherwise ugly part of your house!

Are you feeling inspired yet? I know I am!

Enjoy the long weekend, friends!
