A Day of Rest

Posted by Amanda under Ramblings

I’m incredibly sad to have to say this, but today is my last Friday of summer vacation.

Depressing, right? I still have one more week, technically, but I’ll be up at school for New Teacher Orientation all day next Friday, so this is the last free Friday that I have for a very, very long time.

Because of that, and because I spent all of last night (when I usually put Friday Finds together) doing this…

…and I plan to spend most of the day today with that chair and its partner putting this fabric on it…

…I’m taking the day off from Friday Finds. I hope you can forgive me – but after all the work I’ve put into getting the fabric off of these crazy wingback chairs this week I just need a dang break.

So, maybe you can do my job for me – what awesome things have you found on Craigslist this week?

Psssst: If you didn’t stop by yesterday you missed out on a post about a giveaway I’m doing for a stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils! Make sure you enter today – it ends on Sunday!

We just made a headboard out of that exact fabric! Is it from Tonic Living?

We don’t have a good spot for them, but I love these Knoll tulip chairs. I keep walking around the house seeing if they will “fit” someplace!

OMG… are you DIYing that wingback?!?! I totally want to know how hard this project is. I really want a wingback but don’t want to pay a ton for an already reupholstered one.

Yes, we are! I’m going to try and do a bit of a tutorial for it, but it’s such a complicated process that I probably won’t be much help, haha! We’ll see how it goes!

Oh i love that fabric! Can’t wait to see how it turns out. It took me forever to reupholster my arm chairs- good luck!
