Life, Via iPhone Photos

Posted by Amanda under Off-Topic Tuesdays, Ramblings

Well we’re officially back from vacation! We’re slightly more tan, slightly more round, and infinitely more relaxed. I’m still running around like a madwoman trying to stock my house back up on food, unpack, do laundry, and assure my dogs that I still love them even though I deserted them for 8 whole days. Since it’s still a bit crazy around these parts, I thought I’d just pop in today with a quick roundup of some of the photos taken on my phone over the last few weeks. A lot of them are from the first part of our vacation, so you’ll get a quick sneak peek of it before I give you the full recap tomorrow morning!

This is hands down one of my favorite photos taken of Ranger lately. He recently discovered the window seat behind our couch (after ignoring it for the first 9 months that we lived here) and he loves to hang out back there now. It’s adorable because he’s really entirely too large to fit comfortably back there, but he hops up there anyways. What a weirdo!

I picked up this over-the-shoulder purse from Target right before we left for our vacation and I’m so obsessed with it. It’s neon yellow (love!) and I love how small it is – keeps me organized!

I missed these two so much when we were gone! When we finally picked them up yesterday morning they just about lost their minds – they thought for sure we had abandoned them at the vet forever. Poor Cullen is hoarse from barking so much while they were there, and Ranger just ran around the house whining because he was so excited and didn’t know what else to do with all the energy!

Here’s the adorable hotel we stayed in the night before our cruise in Galveston – it was so nice to head up there a day before we left and relax. And it totally helped that this was our view when we woke up in the morning:

Ahhh I miss that ship already! We spent most of the morning doing this while we waited to be able to board:

And when we finally got on, we immediately grabbed one of these and settled in for a good vacation…

Our mission on the cruise was to collect as many of the Carnival hurricane glasses as we could – we had one or two at home but were dying for a full set. Corey also wanted a couple of their special Carnival-brand beer glasses from one of the restaurants. I, um, think we succeeded on building up our Carnival-themed glass collection.

It was a wonderful vacation and I can’t wait to tell you more about it tomorrow! Until then I’m off to try and get my suitcases unpacked and continue detoxing from my week-long drink of the day and warm chocolate melting cake binge!

Anyone else have a silly collection from their vacations?

Can’t wait to hear more about your cruise! I used to collect shot glasses and keychains when we went on vacation, friends and family members would also bring me back keychains when they traveled. No clue where my parents put them, but I was over 600 by the time I stopped.

aw… poor pups! I usually have at least 1 crying jag on any vacation bc I miss the pets so much. They are so cute :)

We do christmas ornaments for our souvenirs on vacation. We get them wherever we go and we think it would be cool if some day we had enough of them we could do a separate tree with JUST vacation ornaments.

I love the new glassware! LOL. And the tiny purse is great, I love crossbody purses for traveling, they’re so much easier. Glad you had a great time!

I also used a tiny purse on vacation, a Coach sling pack or whatever they’re called. So handy, like big wallets ;) I’m glad y’all had a good time, I’m excited to read all about it!

Nice. :) Can’t wait to hear about more of your trip! My parents were always anti-souvenir when we traveled, and my mom is constantly getting rid of things, and unfortunately I’ve adopted that trait, so I just can’t collect things … it’s sad.
