Oh, hi there! You aren’t used to seeing me on Thursdays, right? Yeah, me neither.
I just had to pop in today because I’m super excited to share a few blog updates with you guys, and I wanted to take a minute to point ‘em out so all of my hard work doesn’t get ignored.
First up, if you look at the top menu bar, you’ll notice a new link, Projects.
And if you click on that new little link, you’ll see a page that looks a little something like this:
This lovely page has all of the projects Corey and I have tackled over the last year and a half of blogging, and they’re organized into easy-to-browse categories. This page will be continually updated as we complete new projects, and clicking on a project will take you directly to the post where I shared it, so you can get the full how-to.
Next up is the House Tour page. This page has been there for a while, but I’m betting a lot of you didn’t notice it before.
On this page you’ll see a house layout as well as link to pages with updated photos of basically every room in our house (except for rooms we haven’t touched, like my workout room and the extra bathrooms). This page will be updated slightly less often, but I’ll try to stay on top of it as we slowly make changes to the house. This is a great place to check if you want to remember how something looks but don’t want to search for a specific post, or if you’d like to see how our rooms are laid out in relation to one another.
A couple of other changes you might notice includes an updated search function (the old one didn’t work very well!) and a list of related posts at the bottom of each post in case you just can’t get enough and want to browse some older posts. There’s also a new little widget on the sidebar that highlights our most popular posts (determined by number of comments), so if you’re looking for something new to read, that’s a great place to start!
Please let me know if you notice any glitches or problems with any of the new features, and PLEASE let me know if you have anything you’d like to see added to Love & Renovations! Many of the changes I’ve made have been reader-requested, so I absolutely listen to your feedback and take it into account!
Have a look around – hopefully these new features will make it easier for you to see some posts you may have missed before!

Love the projects page! What a great idea! I hadn’t realized how much stuff you guys had accomplished. Holy moly!
Also, the banner in your sidebar for ‘The Nest Chapter’ hasn’t worked for a while. Just thought I’d let you know.

Love these additions to your blog, it’s so great to be able to see all of the projects you guys have worked so hard on!
On the house tour tab, when I try to click on the guest bedroom it doesn’t go to additional pictures like the rooms above it.

Nice work! You guys might want to look into the plugin “Category Thumbnails” – that’s what I used to create the project galleries on my blog. The end result looks pretty similar but mine update automatically whenever I add a new post to one of those categories – just one less thing to think about!

Thanks for the tip! This one is pretty easy to update – I just have to go to the website and add the photo and it will automatically update it on the blog, but if I get tired of keeping up with it, I’ll definitely look into that!
