Not gonna lie – that song has been running through my head on repeat all week long!
I’m playing hooky on posting a Friday Finds today because yesterday was my last day of school (I survived my first year of teaching!) and I spent last night at a retirement celebration for one of the teachers I work with. Today I’m at a teacher work day until 1:30, and then it’s officially summer!
Of course, my need to play hooky today may also have something to do with the fact that I was just accepted into a masters program and enrolled in classes yesterday – a week late – so I’m getting to play catch up and I’m having one of those “oh em gee what was I thinking?!” moments. Let’s just hope I survive!
So, instead of a Friday Finds this week, you get to see a couple of my favorite Instagram photos from this past week!

Remember Sparky? He’s my class pet and I’m so excited to bring him home this afternoon to stay with me for the summer! The dogs are going to have a fun few months obsessing over how they can get him out of his cage to play with him!

I’ve been seriously enjoying the pretty flowers in my yard these past few weeks! We’ve been dying for our crepe myrtles to start blooming for a while now, and this week we finally started to see some flowers on a few of the trees, and all of the trees look like that top picture – full of buds just about ready to pop open! My rose bushes have also been looking particularly pretty lately, and I can’t resist snapping photos of them every time I walk by!

Thanks to my blog post on Wednesday, we ended up with a fun class activity on Wednesday for the second-to-last day of school – we made “bucket lists” of the things we wanted to accomplish this summer! The kids weren’t quite as excited about it as I was, but they all had fun with the paint, so that’s really all that matters, right?
What have you been up to this week?
