  1. What size cans of frozen juice do you use.

  2. Has anyone put this batch in the freezer for a sangria slushy or does it freeze too solid? Then add club soda to the slushy?

    1. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m absolutely going to now that you’ve given me the idea!

  3. Hi! It looks like I’m not able to find the passion fruit concentrate but I can find it in a carton (already made). Would this work instead? If so, how much would you recommend using?

    1. Hey Kristen! I haven’t ever tried it, but I’m sure it would work – however, it would likely dilute the flavors a bit since it’s more watery. Honestly, I would probably just play around with getting a different flavor of concentrate instead of the passion fruit! I’m sure almost any fruity flavor would work great!

  4. Have you tried making this with a white wine? The tannens in reds are not nice tibme

    1. I haven’t! I can’t drink straight red wine either, though, and this doesn’t bother me at all. I’m sure it would be great with white, though!

  5. I’m having a get together this weekend and I’m going to try this. Sounds delicious! If I wanted to make it for more people do you suggest I double everything? What do you recommend?

    1. Hi Raeanne – sorry for the delayed response! I’d definitely double it for a lot of people, it doubles really easily! 🙂

  6. is this recipe one you can drink right away and not let sit over night?

    1. Definitely! It tastes better the next day, but we always have some the day of!

  7. Carla Gurley says:

I cannot find the passion fruit concentrate. Have you ever substituted with anything else.

    1. I haven’t ever had an issue finding it in my store (though I do have to search sometimes!) but if I couldn’t find it I might try pineapple for a somewhat similar flavor!

  8. Hello,

This recipe looks great and I can’t wait to try it! Could you please tell me what kind of wine you use (Merlot, Cabernet, etc)?
    Thank you,
    Rachel

    1. Hi Rachel! We usually use a Cabernet, but I think you could use just about any kind of red wine that you love!

  9. I’m not a fan of Club Soda. Have you ever used 7 up or does it need the club soda to cut the sweetness of the other juices? Can you taste the club?

    1. I’m not a huge club soda fan either, but you can’t really taste it. It’s mostly just there to add some carbonation! I would think that Sprite or 7Up would be a fine substitute, though it would definitely add some sweetness.

  10. Denise Bice says:

So you use all the other juices and half lemonade?

    1. Correct! We usually just make a small pitcher of lemonade with the rest. 😉 Of course, you can always add in more if you prefer – it’s just a matter of what you like best!

  11. How long can you keep it before it loses its fizz?

    1. Hey Beth! I generally keep it in the fridge for up to a week (if it lasts that long!). The fizz starts to go after about 2 days but it still tastes just as delicious!

  12. How much does this make?

    1. It’s around a gallon or so!

  13. We’re going to a summer get-together this weekend and I’m totally making this and bringing it! It sounds delicious – thanks for the recipe!

  14. Thanks! I’m sure a week is more than anyone needs. (i was hoping/aiming for a weekend, Haha)Wasn’t sure if adding the club soda made it a “drink me today because tomorrow I lose my uumph” kind of situation.

    1. Oh yeah it’s definitely fine over the weekend!

  15. So, I know you’re using less expensive wine and everything, but is the one you use more dry or sweet? Just want to make sure I cheap out in the right direction. 😉 (Also, the name on that wine label nearly made me spit my morning caffeine all over my laptop. Hilarious!)

    1. You know, I have never really tasted the wine by itself. Once all that other stuff is in it I couldn’t tell you if it were sweet or dry to begin. We usually grab the Low Hanging Fruit Cabernet – we have tried many and this is the best so far. Honestly, I think that any Cabernet in the cheap liter section would do. The only one that I haven’t particulary liked was the Yellow Tail, but even then we still drained the jug.

    1. Um, it honestly doesn’t last long in our house, but we’ve had it in the fridge for up to about a week and a half with no problems. We’ve never had to throw it out – we always finish it before it goes bad!

  16. Yum. I pinned t his 😛

  17. You know I love sangria.
    Yours truly,
    Lover of Sunsets and Sangria

  18. Sangria is a favorite of mine, I’m going to need to try out this recipe!
