It’s been a while since I talked about our 101 in 1,001 list here on the main blog (though I’ve been updating the 101 in 1,001 blog pretty regularly!) and I thought today would be the perfect day to give a quick update on the things Corey and I have managed to cross off the list in the first two months of having it.
So far we’ve crossed 9 things off the list, which I think is pretty good for only two months! Some of them were easy things to cross off the list, like joining an intramural sports team (for Corey), joining a church, and finishing the entire series of Lost (obsessed!). Some of them we also crossed off by pure chance when we did something we had forgotten we even put on the list, like cleaning and organizing our garage (which we took care of during the February Organize-a-Thon!)
There were some things on the list, though, that were a bit harder to cross off. The most exciting one that got crossed off actually came from my personal section of the list – get a job that I’m happy with. I managed to take it one step further and found one that I’m absolutely head over heels in love with! I just switched to a new job in a new district about a week ago, and so far it’s been nothing short of amazing – so that was a nice unplanned item to check off the list!
We’ve also completed quite a few of the blog-related items in the past couple of months – like getting a paid sponsor, being more consistent about replying to comments, and adding a house tour/layout page.
I’m pretty happy with our progress on the list so far, and I’m hoping that within the next couple of months we can start to be more serious about consciously crossing things off (most of the things we’ve done so far have just been luck). Some of the things I’m hoping to tackle next are watching some classic movies we’ve never seen, using coupons at the grocery store, and recycling. I’m also hoping that within the next few months we can start working on some of the home related goals!
What’s been on your to-do list lately? Cross anything off?
Pssst – if you want to follow along with our progress on our 101 in 1,001 list, you can see more detailed (and more frequent) updates on the 101 blog!
