Last week was spring break for me (being a teacher has its perks sometimes!) and I cannot even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the break. I got lots of relaxing time in, de-stressed, and just all-around had a good time.
We had people over to celebrate birthdays (yes, more than one set of people for more than one birthday)…
We spent a ton of time playing with our dogs, and just as much time laying around on the couch watching television (we FINALLY finished watching Lost…and this past season of True Blood).
And we just did a bunch of the things that we love to do but haven’t been able to because I’ve been so stressed about work lately. Like dance in the living room to my favorite songs…
And cook together…
(Yes, we totally roast our peppers on our stovetop. Don’t you?)
And then we spied on our neighbors when fire trucks started showing up at their house.
(As far as we know, nothing serious happened. Everyone seemed very calm and perfectly okay – there were just a ton of fire trucks!)
And that’s our spring break in a nutshell. It was a perfectly glorious week and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little depressed about being back to work this week. But on the bright side, I’ll be starting a new job this week that will hopefully be a lot less soul-sucking than the previous one. And that would be nice for…you know, everyone who has to deal with me on a regular basis. Cross your fingers for me!
What would you do with a whole week off of work?
