Last week was my niece, Morgan’s, birthday – she turned 7 which officially makes me feel really old. Of course, I just have to wait another week until my other niece turns 11 – then I’ll REALLY feel old.
She had her birthday party at Yo-Yo’s, a local frozen yogurt place, and a wonderful time was had by all. There was pizza, copious amounts of yogurt (which is healthy and totally good for you, so I didn’t feel even one little bit guilty), and lots of drawing on the walls (and tables, and chairs).
(Side note: I swore to myself I wasn’t going to do iPhone photos for all of the Tuesday posts, but I forgot to bring my camera to the party so, um, enjoy the iPhone photos!)
They have plexiglass on almost every wall in the building, along with glass tables and acrylic chairs – they provide dry-erase markers and you get to go wild!
Also? Tomorrow is this guy’s birthday.
He’ll be two years old and Corey and I are trying to convince ourselves that a magic switch will flip when he turns two (and is no longer considered a puppy) and he will become calmer, more rational, and not afraid of the whole world. I’ll let you know how that goes.
In other news, today just so happens to be the one year anniversary of my relationship with this little ol’ blog! I’ve had so much fun over the last year with the blog and I’m so grateful to all of you who stop by every day to check in with us! I’ve been blogging on and off for probably close to ten years now and I can say with complete confidence that this blog has been leaps and bounds more enjoyable than any other I’ve ever had!
I’m so lucky to have such an awesome group of readers and, not to get sappy on y’all or anything, but you guys make me feel like I have a ton of really awesome friends who just happen to live in the internet. I can’t wait to see what the next year on the blog has in store for us!
What’s your favorite flavor of frozen yogurt? Also, have you ever been to a place that lets you draw on the walls?! I hadn’t, and I think it’s probably the most genius idea ever.
