I get a ton of comments and some emails talking about how amazing Austin’s Craigslist seems to be and how the Craigslist in your city is just plain awful.
Well, I’ve decided to prove you wrong. Starting next week, Corey and I will be accepting requests to do a Friday Finds in YOUR city. Just tell us what city you want us to look at, we’ll scope it out and come back with some amazing finds right next to you. Promise.
All you have to do to get in on the action is email me at email@example.com with the name of the city you’d like me to do – you can even request a specific style of type of furniture you’re looking for, but I can’t make any promises on that one.
We’ll be launching the reader requested Friday Finds next week, but for now I’ve got some awesome stuff to show you from my own neck of the woods!
Corey and I aren’t really in the market for a desk right now (we’re still pretty in love with the one we have in our office), but if we were I would be all over this one. I love the spindle-y legs and I love the crazy amount of drawers it has! The paint job looks less than stellar, but I really like the color! I think this is a desk that would look great in almost any color – just give it some new drawer pulls and you’re good to go!
I love apothecary style furniture and this dresser is definitely no exception! It looks like this dresser is actually just an 8-drawer dresser made to look like an apothecary style one, but I love the look! Surprisingly I’m not in love with the color white on this one (shock, I know!) and I think it’s better suited to a more punchy color. Give it some amazing knobs (with that many knobs on a dresser, they have to be pretty!) and this guy would look amazing in any room.
Okay, so these are probably a bit too modern for our house, but I think they’re seriously fun. I love the futuristic-diner vibe they have going on, and I think they would make a huge statement pulled up to a bar in a kitchen. I envision them in a super-modern all-white kitchen – the type that I love but could never actually pull off in my own home. I can dream, though, right?
Now these tables are something that would fit right into my house! They’re made by Drexel which means they’re really high-quality furniture, and that price is a steal for two of them! I usually like to leave this type of furniture in it’s wood form – that color is so beautiful – but I think these tables could also look great painted white or even a super glossy black. If I had any need for more side tables in my home, I’d be all over these!
Um, I feel like I might need to buy this just because it’s only $25. Seriously? Corey and I have been feeling a bit sick of our Ikea Billy bookcases in our office (I love me some Ikea, but those bookcases are looking a little bland!) and we’re ready to start looking for a replacement. For some reason, bookcases that I like are something that I have such a hard time finding – most of them are so boring and they all look the same after a while. Something like this is exactly what I need – unique, cute, and not like every single other bookcase I’ve ever seen!
That’s what I’ve got for you today! I’m off to tackle the two-page to do list I made for myself for this weekend (Seriously. Two freaking pages) and hopefully find time to squeeze in some relaxing too!
Don’t forget to shoot us an email if you’d like us to feature your town in a future Friday Finds – I’m looking forward to seeing what’s for sale in your city!
