I absolutely love having fresh flowers in my house. Back when we were in college (and weren’t paying a mortgage), Corey used to bring me fresh flowers on almost a weekly basis, so I almost always had a gorgeous bouquet brightening up my table. Now, sadly, we are a bit on the broke side and fresh flowers just aren’t in the cards for us nearly as often as I’d like to have them.
Luckily, I have these guys sitting around. These billy buttons are from mine and Corey’s wedding – half of them are from a reception centerpiece, and the other half are from my bouquet. I grabbed them out before all of the flowers got tossed, and I’m so glad I did. They’ve held up beautifully over the past 10 months since the wedding (side note: OMG – ten months already?!) and I smile every time I see them. So, even though I can’t have the fresh flowers I crave all over my house, these little wedding mementos do quite a bit to satisfy my longing!
