Friday Finds

Posted by Amanda under Friday Finds

Whew.

Y’all, it’s been a rough week. But we’re almost done, and I can practically taste the freedom of the weekend! This week’s post is going to be short and sweet because I’m trying to soak up every minute I have to sit down and relax – there hasn’t been much of that in the past few days.

Here we go!

(Austin Craigslist – $99)

Yes, that really says $99 for the pair. Seriously. Someone buy these chairs, NOW! The brown leather is not necessarily my favorite, but these chairs look like they’re in amazing condition, and they’re seriously gorgeous.

Of course, that could be my obsession with mid-century furniture speaking, but look at them! They’d make amazing desk chairs for an office, or even just plopped down in a random room. Love them.

(Austin Craigslist – $75)

I’ve had light fixtures on the brain for a while now (since, you know, ours are so ugly), and this one is very nice. I am a big fan of the more industrial style fixtures, and the shape of the curves up at the top is amazing. If only I had a place to put it!

(Austin Craigslist – $40)

I’ve never seen anything like these pillows on Craigslist before! I love the look of them, and I seriously with they fit in better with the style we’re going for in our living room. I think they’re absolutely fabulous and, again, it’s always really nice to see something new and different on Craigslist, rather than just the same old stuff.

(Austin Craigslist – $150)

Um, that’s a wine rack. The only reason I even included it on here is because OMG I want to own that much wine. This thing is giant, and we don’t have anywhere in our home for it (unless it took up like, the whole kitchen, which…if I had that much wine, I might consider!) but holy cow I’m jealous of the person who can fill this thing up!

And, on that note, I’ll be spending my Friday dreaming of the glass of wine I’ll pour myself when I get home and of the glorious weekend coming my way!

And now I’m curious – how much wine do you generally keep in your house at any given time?

Sometimes I wish we owned that much wine! We normally only keep a bottle or two, unless we’ve just come back from a vacation where we purchased extra. One of our friends gave us a wine fridge for the wedding, so I have a feeling that we’ll stock up more once we break that out.

Once a year, we go somewhere in wine country — We live in WA, so that’s usually in WA, OR, or CA. We usually buy around a case of really special finds plus we supplement with other fun bottles that we pick up here and there. So we usually have around a case at a time. I can’t imagine keeping track of such a large collection like the rack up there implies, but it sure would be awesome!

that wine rack is seriously intimidating. lol. We usually only keep 2 bottles at a time (one red, one white) and I use it more for cooking than drinking!

What key words do you use when you search CL? I feel like the Chicago postings are so ridiculous that I lose interest after the first half of results!

I actually use CraigsEasy to browse CL. It pulls all the photos from the posts and puts them all on one page, so you don’t have to shuffle through all of them and click on every post you want to see. It makes a world of difference!!
