Remember a few weeks ago when I found this chair on the side of the road?
Well, I finally got it all finished and looking nice and new again!
When Corey was sanding it down, we found that this chair has had many, many past lives. It had been blue, red, green, blue again, and I think a few other colors too!
And now? It’s yellow! (Of course – what other color would I paint it?!)
So much better!
I still haven’t figured out where this guy is going to live permanently. We’re bursting at the seams here in our little duplex, so we’ll have to wait until after the move to find a real home for it. But, I’m thinking it would look great pushed up under the vanity that I hope to have someday!
For now, though, I’ve just got it pushed up next to the table in the corner of our master bedroom. My dad finally got our fan working for us again, so soon the table won’t look quite so empty!
This little chair still makes me smile every time I see it – and it probably helps that the entire project was less than $5, since all I had to buy was a can of spray paint!
Of course, now I feel like this may have started some sort of really creepy new habit. I’m kind of addicted to curbside finds now – this could get ugly!
Have you ever grabbed anything off the side of the road?
