When we left off, Corey had just finished stripping our latest thrift store find, and it was time for me to go outside and make it pretty!
Naked table!
I chose to go with spray paint for this project, partially just because I think it’s a lot of fun, but mainly because the legs of the table have a lot of curves to them, and it would not be easy to tackle those with a paintbrush.
And, I mean really, spray paint is so fun.
It took less than an hour for me to get the table all covered – because I had used primer, one coat was all it took to make it look exactly how we had envisioned!
As soon as we put it into it’s new spot, we both fell in love. I’ve mentioned before that the wall in the living room with the television is one of my least-liked spots in our house because of its lack of color – now there is a fun pop of turquoise there that totally brightens up the whole room!
After a few days with the above set-up, I decided that those flowers were a bit too much for the table, so I switched ‘em out for some leftover craspedia from our wedding.
Much better! Oh, and the abso-freaking-lutely adorable print above the table? That’s from Etsy seller rawartletterpress and it’s a quote from Winnie the Pooh.
Love.
So, there you have it. An ugly $20 table turned into something that we both love. Not only does it provide some much needed color for that part of the room, it’s much smaller than the cd tower that used to be there and makes that area of the room feel a lot less heavy and dark.
Do you have any furniture in your house that you’re itching to replace?

LOVE that Winnie the Pooh quote. I swear it’s what got me through the California Bar Exam. The table came out great – you’ve got me itching to spray paint something!
