Sundays are wonderful, aren’t they? Corey and I are always super lazy on Sundays, doing nothing but relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Many Sundays, we don’t even get out of our pajamas. It’s awesome.
This weekend was full of fun stuff, so I thought I’d do a quick recap of the past couple of days.
On Friday, we got two very, very exciting packages in the mail.
First, our wedding photos! I’m so incredibly excited to finally have them all on a disc, and I cannot wait to get started on my Weddingbee recaps! I’ve spent several hours this weekend organizing the photos and getting them ready for my recaps, and I’m itching to get started.
The other package?
A new lens for our camera!! Corey got tired of me complaining about the low light in our house and crappy photos that resulted from it, so he got us a new lens that is meant for low-light situations. Do we like it? I’ll let the images speak for themselves.
Both of these photos were taken with no lights on in the house and minimal light coming in from outside. Big difference, no? I’m so excited to have this new lens, and I can’t wait to have some more time to play around with it and learn how to maximize its potential.
As soon as we finished opening our packages on Friday afternoon, we were off to Messina Hof, a local winery, for a tour and tasting! We went with some friends of our who have a brand new baby, so I got to get plenty of baby cuddles that night!
Isn’t he the cutest ever?
Our yummy, yummy tasting. Nom nom nom!
We had a blast that night, and then on Saturday they came over to our house to hang out for a bit…and I got some more baby cuddles!
When they came over for the first time last weekend, we learned something very interesting about Cullen. He’s obsessed with babies. He had never seen one before he met Nikolaus, and he is so incredibly curious about him. Every time someone stands up with the baby, or if he moves at all, Cullen suddenly runs over and has to sniff every inch of his body all over again – just to make sure nothing has changed. And if you’re sitting on the couch with the baby? Cullen is right there next to you.
And as for today, we’ve been doing absolutely nothing, and we plan to continue doing just that. We’re excited about the Oscars tonight, so we’ll be parked on our couch most of the night!
Tell me about your weekend! Did you do anything fun? Did you get any baby cuddles? They’re good for the soul. 🙂
